Reintroduced in 2019, Highland Park 21 Year Old has been matured in a combination of six first-fill European oak sherry casks, four first-fill American oak sherry casks and five refill casks in almost identical proportions. Master Distiller, Gordon Motion, considers 21 years an ideal period for maturation, establishing the right balance of fruit and oak for HP. Official notes say to expect grated nutmeg, root ginger and sun-ripened orange peel, leading to ripe mango, pear and vanilla flavours with a subtle touch of peat smoke on the finish. 46% Alc./Vol.
