The Tuileries block was planted to Tempranillo in 2013. It is on the western edge of the Rutherglen township and has an interesting gravel, clay and alluvial soil mix. The Melvilles vineyard is on the eastern edge of the Rutherglen region. The vine rows run North South and the block is west facing and produces Tempranillo with a balanced intensity and varietal definition.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv class=\"winemakerNote row\"\u003e\n\u003cdiv class=\"col-md-3\"\u003e\n\u003ch4\u003eSeason\u003c\/h4\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv class=\"col-md-9\"\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRutherglen experienced a wetter than average Spring and very mild yet consistent temperatures. This resulted in ideal growing conditions in which the vines flourished. As the season progressed and the vineyards continued to dry out, the red grapes became more concentrated and intense, whilst still maintaining their freshness.
